A broken toe, dead plants and no roommates. ‘Sick Pay Diaries’ is the story of a sad loner who, because of an injury, can’t go to work and is consumed by her own domestic boredom. 

Conceived as a self-portrait photographic series, the idea behind this DIY photoshoot came about at a time of desperate boredom: I got injured and couldn’t go to work for two weeks.

Using my DSLR camera and a tripod, I took the pictures of myself with the flash timer. As for the styling, I turned my duvet cover into a gown tying it with a belt, and used random props I found around the house to achieve the domestic feel I was aiming for.
