The End of Love, 2021

The End of Love is a short story about love during pandemic times. With an absurd and satirical tone, it aims to portray a scene that had unanimously become part of our day to day during that period: being frightened when we see someone’s real face for the first time. Slaves to a mask that, at the same time, shelters us from our insecurities, we all became accustomed to living in a state of constant incognito that did nothing more than deprive us of the reality that surrounds us.

While this phenomenon manifested itself in a wide variety of situations, it was love at first sight that, ironically, became the most compromised. However, the satirical and absurd connotation of the short film stems from a question that seeks to question this very phenomenon: has love at first sight come to an end, or is the mask just a new way of justifying our interpersonal incompetence?
