‘Trapped’ is an ongoing self-portrait series I’ve been doing since early 2019. When I began doing personal fashion photography photoshoots, I was looking for a way to explore different photographic contexts without having to give up the freedom of doing it from your own home.

This is when I came up with the idea of using a mirror, both to be able to see myself while I pose and also to use it as a conceptual prop – the mirror is the only object which allows us to see ourselves, the closest thing we have to other people’s perception of us.

For this reason, ‘Trapped’ is an experimental photography series which serves as a specific creative frame thanks to which I can measure the evolution of my own personal identity and photographic perspective throughout the years.
