WordArt was my art school, 2022

This project was done as a nostalgic experiment to play around with mixed techniques, using the first and most primary form of design I ever came across: Microsoft WordArt.

WordArt was a tool that existed in earlier versions of Microsoft Word to write headlines with more ‘high-level’ designs. I used to mess about with it all the time when I was younger, and you could say it was my first introduction to graphic design and digital creativity.

In this case, I decided to experiment with a website solely dedicated to recreating that tool (link here) and, using one of the most iconic font styles, making a 3D ‘billboard’ and placing it in the iconic Windows hill. The result is this artificial landscape of my imagination to manifest what, quite frankly, was my art school.
